Hecho en Harlem's unique jewelry is a reflection of creator Ifétayo Abdus-Salam (Ifé), who crafts the earrings, rings and bracelets in her Harlem studio. Ifé's handmade jewelry highlights the natural beauty of metal, texture, and is rooted in the geometric form. Each piece is created with strong, independent women in mind; women who capture the creative spirit of Harlem.

Is there a work/body of work that you are particularly excited about sharing with us at RISD Craft this year?

As I am just completing my first year of business, I am generally excited at this opportunity to present my jewelry at RISD craft and hear feedback from attendees!

Any recent press/exhibitions/achievements you'd like to share with us?

My business story was recently profiled by marketing media company Animoto and on a feature on the Etsy Journal Blog.
