Dahlia Kanner 96 JM
Based in North Kingstown, RI
My work is lost wax cast and fabricated one of a kind and limited production jewelry. My focus is on the texture and skin of the piece. I work in sterling silver and 18k Gold often with precious stones added for color contrast.
What are some things that inspire you in your studio practice?
The internal and external textures and patterns of nature are my main inspiration.
Does your current creative practice tie into your time spent at RISD? How so?
Yes, my work has always been highly tactile and my pieces are a continuation my student work that focused on form, flow, and the skins of nature.
Is there a work/body of work that you are particularly excited about sharing with us at RISD Craft this year?
